Raanu - from granny's cottage to jewelry
Raanu was born when designer Ville Lehvonen visited his grand mother Hilda in North Karelia. She used to weave raanus, traditional Finnish blankets which are also used as wall hangings or sofa throws. The North Karelian weaving patterns of her raanus were transformed into the silver jewelry you are holding today.
Raanu is made using traditional processes in a jeweler's workshop in Helsinki. The sustainable jewelry is made of recycled silver.  We sincerely wish that Raanu brings you joy and happiness. And especially a tiny bit of North Karelian tradition.
